The Mulund Police in Mumbai have arrested 32-year-old Rajesh Rajbhar for his alleged involvement in several house-breaking and theft cases. The police have recovered valuables worth Rs 14 lakh in gold and 2 kg of silver from the accused.
The theft case came to light on March 17, when a resident from a high-rise building in Mulund filed a complaint, stating that valuables were missing from his home. Both the complainant and his neighbor reported that their homes had been targeted during their absence.
In response, the police formed investigation teams under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 7) Vijay Sagar and Senior Inspector Abhay Joshi. The police carried out a thorough investigation and identified Rajesh Rajbhar as a suspect.
“We learned that the accused had a history of involvement in various theft cases. After utilizing technical investigations and human intelligence, we arrested him on March 30 in the Mumbra area,” said Assistant Inspector Sudhir Karande.
Further investigation revealed that Rajbhar had arrived in Mumbai on March 13 from Varanasi and had been involved in five house-breaking incidents since his arrival.
The authorities have also recovered the stolen gold and silver from his possession.
