A 46-year-old autorickshaw driver has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Andheri East, Mumbai, on Saturday afternoon.

The accused, Rajesh Chhatre, was taken into custody by the MIDC Police after an FIR was registered against him on charges of murder.

The incident occurred around 4.30 pm on Sag Baug Road in Marol. According to police, Chhatre confronted his wife in public, grabbed her hand, and threatened to kill her. He then allegedly pulled out a knife he had brought with him and repeatedly stabbed her.
