UMATILLA, Fla. (WCJB) — A convenience store employee was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing nearly $7,000 worth of lottery scratch-off tickets in Umatilla.
According to deputies, 56-year-old Rajeev Saini took the tickets from the Green Acres Store on Southeast Highway 42.
When questioned by authorities, Saini reportedly claimed he didn’t remember committing the theft, saying he had taken Tylenol and consumed whiskey prior to the incident.
Saini is currently being held on a $5,000 bond.
