In a major drug bust, Rajasthan Police have arrested three individuals and seized more than 5 kg of heroin, valued at approximately Rs 20 crore in the international market. The heroin is suspected to have been smuggled into India from Pakistan via a drone.

The operation began with a tip-off about a large consignment of heroin being brought into the Karanpur sector. Following the intelligence, a thorough search operation was launched across Sriganganagar district, led by Karanpur Circle Officer (CO) Sanjeev Chauhan and police station in-charge Surender Kumar Prajapat.

During the operation, police apprehended a suspicious individual, Sadam Hussain, from Karanpur. Upon searching him, officers recovered 4.80 kg of heroin. Subsequently, two more individuals were arrested from the Sriganganagar Sadar area, with 330 grams of heroin found on their possession. The two were transporting the drugs on a motorcycle, which was also seized by the police.

Authorities suspect that the heroin was smuggled from Pakistan using a drone, and the two individuals arrested from Sriganganagar may have been tasked with retrieving the shipment. All three suspects are currently being interrogated.
