The K.R. Puram Police arrested Raja Chinna Kumar (32), a key member of an infamous attention-diversion gang, and recovered rS4 lakh.
Incident Details
The gang had targeted Sudhakar, a Bengaluru resident, who had withdrawn rS5 lakh from a bank. Sudhakar placed rS50,000 from the cash in his scooter’s boot at his construction site in T.C. Palya to pay labourers. When he returned, the remaining cash was missing.
Arrest and Recovery
Police tracked Raja to Tiruchirapalli using CCTV footage. The stolen money was later recovered from a friend’s house in Koramangala.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to apprehend other gang members involved in the attention-diversion operations.
