Railway Police Arrest 4, Including Juvenile, for Train Robbery

Four individuals detained for armed robbery on Mysuru-Bengaluru train

On Tuesday, the railway police apprehended four individuals, including a 17-year-old juvenile, in connection with an armed robbery aboard a moving train between Mysuru and Bengaluru on Monday.

The suspects have been identified as Sheikh Suhail (22), a mechanic from Bharat Nagar, Mysuru; Suhail Khan (20), an autorickshaw driver; Mohammed Yaseen, a 22-year-old labourer at a utensil-making factory; and the juvenile from Mysuru.

Authorities recovered Rs6,830 in cash along with six mobile phones, which were valued at over Rs1 lakh, from the arrested individuals. While Yaseen had a prior record for a bike theft case at the Gorur police station, the others had no previous criminal history, according to the police.
