In a new development in the controversial Pantheerankavu domestic violence case, Rahul P. Gopal has been arrested after his wife filed fresh charges accusing him of assault. The incident, which has drawn significant attention, took place in North Paravur, Ernakulam, and has added another layer to the ongoing legal troubles faced by the couple.

According to the police, the new case against Rahul P. Gopal includes serious charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 85 (cruelty towards a woman by her husband), Section 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), Section 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), and Section 351 (criminal intimidation). Following his arrest, Gopal was produced in court, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days.

The case comes after the Kerala High Court quashed another domestic violence case filed by the woman earlier in October, which had allowed the couple to live together again. Despite this, the woman has now re-filed the case, accusing her husband of physical assault.

The police are now continuing their investigation into the new allegations, and the outcome of this case will likely have further implications on the couple’s troubled relationship and the ongoing legal battles they face.
