On May 5, 2025, a police team led by SI Sandeep Yadav and ASI Chatar Singh, under the supervision of Inspector Sahdev Singh Tomar (SHO/PS Sadar Bazar) and guidance from ACP Shankar Banerjee, nabbed two suspects in the Sadar Bazar area for riding a stolen motorcycle.

The police team had been conducting intensive vehicle checks at Singhara Chowk picket when, at around 7:20 PM, they noticed two men riding a motorcycle without helmets coming from Nabi Karim. When signaled to stop, the duo attempted to flee but was soon apprehended after a short chase.

The arrested individuals, identified as Rahul and Jeetu, both 19 years old and residents of Railway Colony, Tughlaqabad, Delhi, failed to provide ownership documents for the motorcycle. Further investigation revealed that the motorcycle was reported stolen in E-FIR No. 12324/25 dated May 5, 2025, under Section 305(b) of the BNS at PS Pul Prahladpur, Delhi.

During questioning, both suspects admitted to being illiterate and coming from poor families. They confessed to being drug addicts and committing crimes in various parts of Delhi to support their addiction. Just two days before the arrest, they had stolen the motorcycle from Pul Prahladpur with the intention of using it for criminal activities. On the evening of May 5, 2025, they had entered Sadar Bazar to commit a crime, but were caught by the vigilant police team when they tried to escape.

Both Rahul and Jeetu have been arrested under appropriate legal sections, and the stolen motorcycle has been seized for further investigation.
