Rachakonda Police Arrest Rajasthan Gang in Rs 29.69 Lakh ATM Theft

Five arrested for stealing from SBI ATM near Hyderabad

Rachakonda police have arrested a five-member inter-state gang involved in stealing Rs 29.69 lakh from an SBI ATM in Ravirala village on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The accused — Rahul (25), Musthakeem Khan (28), Waheed Khan (18), Shakeel Khan (24), and Mohammed Sarfaraz (28) — all natives of Rajasthan, were apprehended, Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu informed the media.

Investigations revealed that the gang traveled to Hyderabad by flight from Delhi to commit the crime. The gang reportedly burglarized the ATM in just about three minutes and fled within six minutes.

The gang has previously targeted mostly HDFC and SBI ATMs in Kushaiguda, BDL Banur, Odisha.

Rahul, a Hyderabad resident, is identified as the key mastermind behind these operations.
