TEWKSBURY, MA — Two men, Ra King Santiago, 19, of Manchester, NH, and Joseph Poaletta, 33, of Lowell, have been arrested on multiple drug distribution charges, according to the Tewksbury Police Department.
Poaletta was charged with:
Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law
Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
Santiago was charged with:
Distribution of a Class B Drug
Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law
Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
The arrests stem from a May 10 investigation around 95 Main Street, where Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit observed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving a gray Jeep Liberty. Santiago was identified and arrested at the scene without incident.
Further investigation revealed Santiago was staying at the same location as Poaletta, who had two outstanding warrants in Lowell. A search warrant executed at their residence uncovered a small quantity of cocaine.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and scheduled to be arraigned on May 12 in Lowell District Court.
Authorities remind the public that these are allegations, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
