Delhi Police are investigating a burglary at a jewellery shop in Sector-6 R.K. Puram that occurred during the night of February 13–14. According to the complainant, several gold and silver items were stolen after being left outside the shop’s strong room during closing hours.
Inspection of the strong room revealed that the locker was intact and secure, suggesting that the stolen items were unsecured at the time. The exact value of the stolen property is currently under assessment. An FIR was registered under sections 305/331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
In a separate operation, the Anti-Narcotics Cell Central District conducted a raid targeting illegal betting networks in Delhi. Acting on intelligence, police disrupted an active ‘satta’ racket in the Anand Parbat area.
During the raid, Shahzad, aged 33, was arrested for his involvement in the illegal Chidiya-Kabootar satta operation. Police seized Rs17,580 in cash, satta slips, a slip pad, a pen, and a betting chart, all recorded as case property. A case under the Gambling Act has been registered at PS Anand Parbat.
Both operations demonstrate Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to combat property crime and illegal gambling networks across the city.
