Quinton Daniels Charged in Greenville Shooting, Robbery

Victim run over, shot, and robbed in Truman Street attack

GREENVILLE, NC – A 31-year-old Greenville man, Quinton Daniels, has been arrested and charged in connection with a violent shooting and robbery that took place last month near Truman and May Street, according to the Greenville Police Department.

On Thursday, July 10, Daniels was taken into custody following a ShotSpotter alert that led officers to a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

According to warrants, Daniels allegedly ran over the victim, identified as Sherman, before shooting him with a semi-automatic rifle. The documents also state that Daniels robbed Sherman, taking $2,700 in cash.

Daniels now faces the following charges:

Attempted First-Degree Murder

Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon

Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury

He is currently being held in the Pitt County Jail without bond, and his first court appearance was scheduled for Friday, July 11.

The investigation remains ongoing.
