Puttur Police Arrest M. Dayanand Naika for Gold Theft

Puttur Rural police have arrested M. Dayanand Naika, 29, of Nettanige Mudnur village, for allegedly stealing 31 grams of gold ornaments and Rs5,000 cash from a house on August 12.

Naika was apprehended from a hideout in Eshamangala village in Puttur taluk, where the police also recovered 30.120 grams of the stolen gold ornaments.

The arrest was made by a team led by sub-inspector Jamburaj Mahajan, assisted by officers including assistant sub-inspector Chandrashekar; head constables Praveen, Madhu, Harish, Subrahmanya; police constables Akash, Yuvaraj, Sharanappa Patil; and reserve sub-inspectors Yagjna, H.G. Hariprasad, and H.G. Nitesh.
