Two persistent criminals involved in several thefts, including a housebreaking incident in Ambegaon, were apprehended by the Ambegaon Police Station’s investigative team. The operation, led by Pohwa Hanmant Masal and Chetan Gore, successfully solved four separate criminal cases and led to the recovery of stolen property valued at Rs. 4.66 lakh.
The theft took place in the early hours of March 16, 2025, at around 3:00 a.m., at the residence of Takradar (67) in Santoshmata Mandir, Tirupati Colony, Ambegaon. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested two suspects: Ayush Sanjay Kharat (20) from Sukhsagar Nagar, Pune, and Aryan Kailas Aglave (19) from Gokulnagar, Pune.
Further investigation revealed that the accused were linked to the following cases:
Ambegaon Police Station Case No. 45/2025 – Sections 305(a), 331(3), (4)
Bharti Vidyapith Police Station Case No. 197/2025 – Sections 305, 331(3), (4)
Bharti Vidyapith Police Station Case No. 1075/2025 – Section 303(2)
Marketyard Police Station Case No. 69/2025 – Section 303(2)
The suspects were found in possession of stolen items, including 22 grams of gold ornaments, four laptops, a motorcycle, and a rickshaw, all valued at Rs. 4,66,000. Aryan Aglave is a known criminal wanted for his involvement in housebreaking crimes in Kondhwa and Marketyard.
The ongoing investigation is being led by Pouni Mohan Kalamkar from the Ambegaon Police Station’s Investigation Team.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sharad Jhine of Ambegaon Police Station, with significant contributions from officers Priyanka Gore, Mohan Kalamkar, Shelendra Sathe, Hanmant Masal, Chetan Gore, Nilesh Jamdade, Dhanaji Dhotre, Pramod Bhosle, Subhash More, Nitin Katurde, and Yogesh Jagdale.
