Pune city police have arrested three individuals involved in a cyber fraud scheme where WhatsApp accounts and credit cards were hacked to purchase mobile phones from online shopping portals.
The accused have been identified as Aslam Khan (22), originally from Bihar and currently residing in the Wagholi area of Pune, along with his accomplice Adib Rizwan Khan (21) from Surat, Gujarat. The third person arrested in connection with the case is Farhan Unwala.
Police investigations revealed that the trio accessed victims’ WhatsApp accounts and credit card details to place orders for mobile phones fraudulently, causing significant financial losses to the victims. The arrested individuals have been taken into custody for further investigation.
