Delhi Police swiftly cracked a sensational hotel robbery case in Kirti Nagar West, arresting four accused, including two juveniles. The police recovered Rs 34,000 cash, a mobile phone, the weapon used, and the motorcycle involved in the crime.

The complainant, Prince Kumar, the night manager at Hotel Dev Place, was revealed to be the mastermind behind the robbery.

According to Kirti Nagar police, on July 1, 2025, two masked men entered the hotel around 3:00 am, threatened Prince Kumar with a knife, and stole approximately Rs 83,000 in cash and a mobile phone from the reception counter. A case was promptly registered.

A special team led by Inspector Sanjeev Dhodi and supervised by ACP Vijay Singh launched an investigation. CCTV footage and a local inquiry raised suspicions about Prince Kumar, who was seen deleting data from his social media accounts without clear explanation. His unusual behavior, coupled with the large cash amount kept at the hotel, pointed toward insider involvement.

Under interrogation, Prince confessed that he had collaborated with Ram Kumar Yadav, a known criminal he befriended in jail. The duo planned to amass cash at the hotel over several days, after which Ram and two accomplices would carry out the robbery. Prince even involved a juvenile hotel employee by offering him money to aid their plan.

On the night of the crime, Ram arrived with two masked accomplices on a stolen motorcycle. One accomplice stayed outside while Ram and the other threatened Prince with a knife and stole the cash and phone. Prince then filed a false robbery complaint to cover their tracks.

Following Prince’s arrest, police apprehended Ram Kumar and the two juveniles from different parts of Delhi. The stolen cash, mobile phone, knife, and the stolen motorcycle from PS Inderpuri area were all recovered.

Prince Kumar is a resident of Kamal Park, Sagarpur, Delhi, with one previous criminal case. Ram Kumar Yadav, from Chachi Ka Mandir, Baljeet Nagar, also has a prior criminal record.

Delhi Police continue to investigate the case.
