Police in Kaup have arrested two brothers, Praveen Mendonca and Valerian Mendonca, in connection with the murder of a 60-year-old woman, Vanaja Poojarthi, at Manipura.
The brothers reportedly used to consume alcohol with the victim. The incident occurred between 5 pm on Monday, March 9, and 7 am on Tuesday, March 10, when a trivial argument escalated, leading the accused to allegedly attack Vanaja with a sharp weapon, resulting in her death.
A case has been registered at the Kaup Police Station. A forensic team from KMC, the SoCO team, the dog squad, and fingerprint experts visited the crime scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
