Lucknow’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) successfully arrested a drug peddler involved in high-end narcotics trade on Sunday. The accused, Praveen Tiwari (27) of Gorakhpur, was apprehended following a targeted operation.
Police seized 105 grams of high-grade organic/American cannabis, estimated to be worth Rs 10.5 lakh. Investigators revealed that Tiwari was buying the substance at lower prices and selling it at a premium for substantial profits.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Vibhuti Khand police station, and further investigation is underway to trace his suppliers and customers.
The ANTF operation highlights ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
