Pravakar Mukhiya, Avidip Thapa Held in Cosmetic Clinic Theft

Youth duo arrested in Bengaluru for Kerala clinic theft

In a swift police operation, Kalamassery police arrested two young men accused of stealing from a cosmetic clinic in North Kalamassery. The suspects, identified as Pravakar Mukhiya (21) from Darjeeling and Avidip Thapa (21) from Ajipurdwar, West Bengal, were traced to Bengaluru, Karnataka, where they had been hiding after the alleged crime.

The theft occurred early Saturday at a cosmetic clinic situated on the first floor of a building opposite the Ganapati Temple in North Kalamassery. Reported stolen items include a laptop worth Rs75,000, a mobile phone valued at Rs70,000, a tablet, and Rs50,000 in cash.

A team led by Sub-Inspector Eldho A.K., along with Civil Police Officers Mahin Abubakar, Arun Surendran, and Sinu, executed the arrest in Bengaluru. The accused were produced before the court and have since been remanded to judicial custody.

Police say further investigation is underway to determine if the duo is linked to any other thefts in the region.
