On July 12, Dakshina Kannada police arrested another individual in connection with the murder of Abdul Rahiman and the grievous assault on Kalandar Shafi. The incident occurred on May 27 in Ira Kodi, Kuriyala village, under Bantwal Rural Police Station limits.
The arrested person has been identified as Pradeep, 34, a resident of Pudu village in Bantwal taluk. His arrest brings the total number of accused in custody to ten.
The case had drawn local attention due to its violent nature and community impact. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to complete the probe and secure justice for the victims.
