Portland Man Arrested After Throwing Rock, Found with Cocaine and Stolen Handgun

Keon Gaston, 36, faces multiple charges after car window incident

A Portland man, 36-year-old Keon Gaston, was arrested on Sunday after allegedly throwing a rock through a car window and being found with cocaine and a stolen handgun.

Police responded to a report at Chestnut and Oxford streets around 12:10 p.m., where they found the suspect a short time later. During their investigation, officers discovered 11.6 grams of cocaine and a stolen handgun on Gaston’s person.

Gaston was arrested and charged with several offenses, including theft by receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, illegal possession of a firearm, aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, and violating conditions of release.

The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts by Portland police to crack down on criminal activity and illegal firearms possession in the area.
