Continuing its relentless efforts to combat drug abuse and crack down on drug peddlers, Handwara Police recently arrested a drug dealer and seized a significant quantity of contraband.
A police patrol team from Police Station Handwara, during a routine patrol at Herpora Handwara, apprehended Farooq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Lachipora Handwara. Dar, son of Mohd Sultan Dar (alias Jungli), was found in possession of 08 grams of a substance suspected to be Brown Sugar.
Following the arrest, a case under FIR No. 11/25 has been registered at Police Station Handwara. The investigation into the matter has begun, and authorities are taking swift action against those involved in the drug trade.
