In a major drug bust, Maitrivihar Police arrested five individuals on Wednesday and seized 270 grams of brown sugar near Hatiasuni, close to the water tank. The successful operation was based on credible intelligence regarding illegal drug activities in the region.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Reka Pattanaik (35)
Subrat Pattanaik (39)
Tinku Mahanta (32)
Seizure of Contraband and Property
Along with the 270 grams of brown sugar, the police also seized the following items from the accused persons:
One Suzuki Ciaz car
One Yamaha Scooty
Four mobile phones
Cash amounting to Rs 14,500
Accused Linked to Multiple Drug Cases
The apprehended suspects are believed to be habitual offenders, with their involvement in multiple drug-related cases. Police have launched a detailed investigation to uncover further links in the local and regional drug supply network.
