Deoghar, Jharkhand: In a major breakthrough, the Jharkhand Police have arrested three individuals involved in an elaborate cyber fraud scheme operating from the Dalraidih area of Deoghar district. The suspects, identified as Pintu Das (26), Pawan Das (24), and Arun Kumar (26), were taken into custody during a surprise raid conducted on Monday.

Police officials stated that the trio posed as customer care executives, using fake contact numbers and links to lure victims into fraudulent promotional schemes. The scam involved circulating counterfeit offers, including fake cashback promises under government schemes like PM-Kisan Yojana, to gain victims’ trust and extract sensitive information or payments.

During the raid, authorities seized three mobile phones and eight SIM cards believed to have been used in the execution of the scam. The police are now working to trace the digital footprint of the operation and identify additional victims or potential collaborators.

Further investigation is underway.
