Pierce Carr, 29, of Braintree Road, Dagenham, was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of offences, including the theft of three Rolex watches from a Goldsmiths jewellers in Lakeside shopping centre in February last year.
Carr initially visited the shop but returned shortly after and forced entry to a cabinet, stealing three Rolex watches. He then fled to Chafford Hundred train station, where CCTV and forensic evidence tracked his movements, revealing him handling the stolen watches.
Though Carr tried to cover part of his face during the theft, his fingerprints were left behind, linking him to the crime. On April 11, he appeared at Baildon Crown Court, where he pled guilty to three counts of theft and one count of criminal damage.
Carr was sentenced to eight months in prison for the theft of the Rolex watches, with the sentence running concurrently to other offences investigated by the Metropolitan Police, including:

27 months for two counts of affray
18 months for threatening with a knife
Six months for burglary
In total, Carr received a four-year and six-month prison sentence for his crimes.
