PHILADELPHIA – Tierra Melanie Nesmith, 37, of the 2100 block of Homer Street, has been charged with a series of theft-related felonies after a thorough investigation by police in Montgomery and Bucks counties. Nesmith, already facing multiple charges from earlier theft incidents at local Planet Fitness locations, now faces additional felony charges stemming from crimes committed in December and February.

On February 11, Nesmith was charged with four felony counts of access device fraud, three felony counts of identity theft, and three counts of theft from a motor vehicle. These charges relate to a theft that occurred on December 27, 2024, at the Planet Fitness located at 731 Route 113 in the County Line Plaza shopping center, Bucks County. Nesmith was arrested after a successful warrant execution.

In addition to these charges, Doylestown Township Police filed 13 felony charges against Nesmith on February 12, including counts of access device fraud, criminal trespassing, receiving stolen property, and theft by unlawful taking. These charges were related to an incident that occurred on February 3, 2025.

Nesmith’s earlier criminal activity has been linked to two theft incidents at a Montgomery County Planet Fitness on January 22, where two victims reported stolen credit cards. In both cases, purchases were made using the stolen cards, with transactions at local stores like Walgreens and Giant. The stolen items included Amazon gift cards and other goods, with multiple transactions flagged by the victims’ banks.

During the investigation, police connected Nesmith to a dark blue 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was involved in both the thefts and a previous retail theft in Horsham Township in 2023. Surveillance footage and arrest photos helped authorities identify Nesmith as the suspect.

Nesmith, who has an extensive criminal history, allegedly fled from a traffic stop in Horsham Township on January 27, 2025, further complicating her case. As of now, Nesmith faces numerous charges across multiple counties, including additional charges stemming from an arrest in Abington Township on January 19, 2025.

She is currently held at Bucks County Jail, facing cash bail of 10% of $25,000 for each of her latest arrests. A preliminary hearing for the Bucks County charges is scheduled for February 25, 2025.

Her criminal history includes nine active cases in Montgomery County, with charges ranging from burglary and trespassing to access device fraud and theft. A preliminary hearing for her Montgomery County charges is set for April 8, 2025.

Authorities urge anyone with further information regarding Nesmith’s criminal activities to come forward.
