Philadelphia Man Arrested for Alleged Package Theft in Bedminster Township

Police say delivery driver accused of stealing parcel he delivered

by Sophia Bennett

A 22-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a package from a Bedminster Township residence earlier this year. Police identified the suspect as Alexander Urena Gonzalez, who was taken into custody on October 10, 2025, after an investigation into a June 9 theft.

Authorities said the incident began when officers responded to a homeowner’s report that a delivered package had gone missing shortly after being dropped off. Investigators later determined that the person who delivered the package was also the one who allegedly took it.

Following the investigation, a warrant for Gonzalez’s arrest was issued by Magisterial District Judge Gambardella on July 9. He now faces charges of theft of mail, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.

Police reminded the public that all individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
