On the very first day of the New Year, Phagwara city police made a significant breakthrough by arresting two criminals linked to a theft case. The suspects, identified as Amandeep Singh from Rameshwar Colony, New Model Town, Jalandhar, and Rajinder Kumar from Bhargo Camp, Pichori, were nabbed after a complaint by store owner Neeraj Bakshi.
Bakshi had locked his store the previous night but discovered the next morning that several items, including branded cigarette packs, four mobile phones, and a motorcycle, were missing. Thanks to prompt police action led by Superintendent of Police Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, the stolen items were recovered and the accused arrested. The swift arrest has been welcomed by the local community as a step towards safer neighborhoods.
