Peyman Esmaeilpour and Afshin Alizadeh Arrested in Iran

Kurdish Men Detained Without Warrant, Whereabouts Unknown

Peyman Esmaeilpour, a 33-year-old resident of Bukan, and Afshin Alizadeh, a 31-year-old from Salmas, have been forcibly detained by Iranian security forces, with their whereabouts currently unknown.

According to a report from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Esmaeilpour was arrested at dawn on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in his village of Hajilak, Bukan. Reports indicate that during the raid, security forces broke the windows of his home and entered without a warrant.

On Tuesday, February 11, Alizadeh, from the village of Harkian near Salmas, was also apprehended under violent circumstances and without an arrest warrant. In his case, security forces also confiscated his personal electronics, including his mobile phone and computer.

As of now, there is no information available regarding the reasons for their arrests, the charges they may face, their current location, or their condition.
