MILTON, N.Y. — A welfare check in Milton led to the arrest of a man on multiple drug charges, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded Wednesday at 4:06 p.m. to a call from a Middle Line Road resident who reported an unknown male sleeping in a vehicle parked in his driveway. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Peter J. Antenucci.
Antenucci faces several charges, including:
Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (class B felony), fourth degree (class C felony), and seventh degree
Criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree (class A misdemeanors)
Authorities said Antenucci knowingly and unlawfully possessed controlled substances with intent to sell and had narcotics totaling one-eighth ounce or more. He was also charged with possessing a scale used to weigh drugs, suggesting intent to distribute.
Antenucci was arraigned before Judge Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court and released to pretrial services pending further proceedings. Under New York law, the charges are not considered qualifying offenses for bail due to legislation enacted in January 2020.
