MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) — Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the 2024 murder of a 47-year-old man in Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, around 4:15 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a shooting near North Bellevue Boulevard and Bammel Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a months-long investigation, MPD identified Perry Watson, 33, and Rodmetris Lockridge, 29, as suspects in the fatal shooting. On Monday, June 2, 2025, police obtained warrants for first-degree murder against both individuals.
Watson and Lockridge were located and taken into custody shortly thereafter.
No motive has yet been released, and the investigation remains active as authorities continue to gather evidence related to the case.
