A couple from Pearl River County was arrested after a search warrant was executed at their residence.
On February 14, 2025, narcotics investigators from the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office carried out a search at the home of Craig Stogner, 49, and Jessica Barnes, 39, in Poplarville. During the search, officers discovered buprenorphine pills, marijuana, and additional substances, which will be sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for analysis.
Stogner, who is a convicted felon, was also found in possession of throwing knives, a violation of his probation. Both Stogner and Barnes were booked into the Pearl River County Jail for marijuana possession. Stogner faces an additional charge of possessing a weapon as a felon.
Further charges may be brought once the unknown substances are analyzed.
