PC Eagleton Leads Bolton Theft Arrests in Astley Bridge

Three held over car theft, burglaries and prison absconding

Police have arrested three people in connection with a series of theft-related offences in Bolton.

Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team attended a property in Astley Bridge on Sunday afternoon, December 21, following reports of a theft from a vehicle that occurred overnight in the Halliwell area.

A 57-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. The arrests were carried out by PC Eagleton as part of ongoing investigations.

The 40-year-old man was also detained on additional suspicion of residential burglaries and vehicle interference offences reported in Halliwell on Friday morning. Police further confirmed he was arrested for allegedly absconding from prison.

All three individuals remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Bolton Police said officers acted swiftly following reports from the public and confirmed investigations are ongoing.
