LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. – A months-long investigation into a drug and retail theft operation in southern Laurel County has led to the arrest of Paul Tate, 59, of Lily.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office announced that Tate was charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance after search warrants were executed at a home and business. Authorities identified Tate as the ringleader of an operation where stolen goods were exchanged for oxycodone.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that Tate was booked into Laurel County Correctional Center, with additional charges expected as the investigation continues.
