ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A Colonie man, Paul Kozlowski III, age 35, was arrested during a traffic stop in Albany that led to the seizure of cocaine and drug packaging materials, according to Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple, Sr.
The arrest occurred on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 11:41 AM near Sheridan Avenue and Theatre Row. Deputies from the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort stopped Kozlowski’s vehicle for a traffic violation.
During the investigation, deputies discovered:
42 grams of cocaine
A digital scale
Hundreds of glassine envelopes
A cutting agent
Authorities concluded the materials were intended for drug distribution.
Kozlowski III now faces the following charges:
Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree
Three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree
Aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree
Multiple traffic violations
He was transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility as a pre-arraignment detainee, with arraignment scheduled for May 23, 2025, in Albany City Criminal Court.
The Sheriff’s Office continues to stress the importance of proactive enforcement to combat drug trafficking in Albany County.
