CRESTON, Iowa — A 41-year-old Creston man is facing numerous charges following a late Sunday afternoon arrest.
According to the Creston Police Department, Paul William Daniels was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance—marijuana (1st offense) and on several outstanding warrants.
The original warrant stems from a probation violation related to a domestic abuse assault with bodily injury case. Additional active warrants include:
Domestic abuse assault—impeding air or blood flow causing bodily injury
Two counts of domestic abuse assault—third or subsequent offense
1st-degree harassment
2nd-degree harassment
Daniels was booked into the Union County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending his initial court appearance before a magistrate.
Authorities have not released further information regarding the circumstances of the arrest.
