GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WOAY) — A Greenbrier County woman has been arrested after deputies say she was found in possession of methamphetamine and other controlled substances, with the intent to sell.
Patty McCoy was taken into custody at a local motel, where deputies spotted her speaking with the driver of a vehicle while responding to a call. Upon investigating, deputies discovered:
5 bags of methamphetamine
4 Suboxone tablets
1 Subutex strip
According to authorities, the driver reported that McCoy had also been speaking with a male suspect behind the motel. That individual later told deputies he had purchased meth from McCoy.
This arrest marks McCoy’s fifth felony drug charge, highlighting her ongoing involvement in drug-related offenses in the area.
Sheriff Bart Baker stated that a specialized team of deputies is currently focusing on high drug activity zones in Greenbrier County to crack down on repeat offenders and illegal drug sales.
