Patrick Lowell Wallace, 31, of Granite Falls, was arrested on July 15 by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers and charged with multiple drug offenses, including three counts of trafficking heroin or opium and one count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances.

Wallace’s arrest followed a joint investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s I.C.E. Unit, the Lenoir Police Department, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. The operation concluded with the seizure of 54 grams of fentanyl—valued at approximately $10,800—and a handgun.

Narcotics agents spotted Wallace, a wanted suspect, driving on Grace Chapel Road. They followed him to his residence on Berry Creek Circle, where he was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, a handgun was found concealed in Wallace’s waistband.

Wallace was booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 31
