Patrick Sampson Arrested in Savannah Firewood Theft

Wayne County deputies charge Clyde man with larceny

SAVANNAH, N.Y. — A Town of Clyde man was arrested following a larceny complaint involving stolen firewood in the Town of Savannah, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies charged Patrick Sampson, 37, of Dublin Road in the Town of Clyde, with petit larceny. Investigators said the charge stems from a report of firewood valued at approximately $350 that was taken without permission.

Authorities located Sampson on Severence Road in the Town of Savannah. According to deputies, Sampson admitted to taking the firewood.

He was arrested without incident and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

As with all criminal cases, Sampson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
