FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Two people have been arrested and a third is on the run following a vehicle fraud investigation in the Town of Farmington, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Earlier this week, deputies responded to a forgery and fraud complaint involving the use of another person’s identity to fraudulently acquire two vehicles from a local automotive dealer.
Patrick Johnson of Rochester and Iselynn Johnson of Pittsford were arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the Second Degree. Both vehicles involved have since been recovered.
The two suspects were arraigned at CAP Court and released on their own recognizance. They are scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court, and officials say additional charges are pending.
A third suspect, Chaz Davis of Rochester, fled the scene during the investigation. Deputies conducted K9 and foot searches, but have not yet located him. A warrant will be issued for his arrest.
Anyone with information about Davis’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office at 585-394-4560 or submit an anonymous tip through their website or mobile app.
As always, it’s important to remember that charges are allegations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
