Patricia Sue Meyer Arrested for Fraudulent Wire Transfer Attempt in Idaho

Texas woman charged after stealing over $5,000 and attempting a $37,000 transfer

CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Patricia Sue Meyer, a 57-year-old woman from Texas, has been arrested after attempting to complete a wire transfer using fraudulent identification.

According to Caldwell Police, Meyer faces several felony charges after she fraudulently withdrew over $5,000 from a victim’s account. Following this theft, she attempted to obtain debit cards from the same victim’s account at a bank branch in Nampa.

Meyer then returned to a bank in Caldwell, where she tried to complete a wire transfer for $37,000. Authorities suspect that Meyer was working with other individuals, and the investigation is ongoing.

She was booked into the Canyon County Jail on multiple charges, including burglary, criminal conspiracy, use of a computer to commit a felony, grand theft, criminal possession of a bank card, misappropriation of personal information, and forgery.
