Patna Police have successfully apprehended Aftab Malik, also known as Aftab Alam, the prime suspect in the high-profile murder of land dealer Anwar Alam. Malik had been evading authorities for several months and was listed among the top 10 most-wanted criminals in the city.
Anwar Alam was fatally shot on May 19 near Imarat-e-Shariah in the Phulwarisharif area. Earlier, CCTV footage from the incident had helped police identify and arrest several suspects, who are now in custody.
City SP (West), Bhanu Pratap Singh, stated that Malik is linked to multiple serious crimes, including murder and robbery, across various police stations in Patna. His arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to tackle organized crime in the city.
