LAVERNE, Okla. (KFOR) — Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) agents have arrested 66-year-old Christopher Cassel, a local pastor in Laverne, on multiple serious criminal charges.
The investigation began on Sunday, June 22, after the Laverne Police Department reached out to OSBI for assistance in a reported case of sexual assault. OSBI agents quickly identified Cassel as the suspect.
Cassel was taken into custody and booked into Harper County Jail, facing the following charges:
Two counts of forcible sodomy
One count of distribution of narcotics
One count of furnishing alcohol to a minor
