In a major breakthrough, Panchkula police have arrested Parth Jhonny, the alleged mastermind behind a Rs2 crore immigration fraud that duped several people with promises of Canadian work visas.
Parth, who had been absconding for nearly two years, is accused of collecting large sums from 12 individuals under the pretext of facilitating their migration to Canada. Instead of delivering on his promises, he allegedly fled with their original documents and visa papers, leaving victims in financial and legal distress.
Following his arrest, police teams have begun conducting raids at his properties and offices to recover further evidence and identify potential accomplices.
Authorities confirmed that Parth’s fraudulent activities are part of a larger immigration racket, and further arrests may follow. Investigations are ongoing to trace the siphoned money and determine if more victims were involved.
