A suspect with a history of theft was arrested once again in Paragould on March 14 after a shoplifting incident at a local store.
According to the probable cause affidavit, employees at a store reported individuals stealing merchandise in the parking lot. Officers responded to the scene and identified Nathan McDaniel, confirming he was in possession of stolen property. Further investigation revealed that McDaniel had also stolen items from a neighboring store.
Police later discovered that McDaniel had multiple prior theft convictions, making this his latest run-in with the law. He was arrested and is now facing a charge of Theft of Property, a Class D felony.
Judge Dan Stidham set McDaniel’s bail at $10,000, with a cash-only condition and a no-contact order, in addition to a required GPS ankle monitor.
As always, all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
