Under the recently launched ‘Operation Bullet’, the Delhi Police have busted a high-value bike theft ring with the recovery of 10 stolen motorcycles worth nearly Rs13 lakh, including six Royal Enfield Bullets. The operation also led to the arrest of two repeat offenders, unravelling a series of thefts across Delhi and adjoining Haryana.
The successful operation was executed by a joint team from the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS), Anti-Burglary and Snatching Cell, and Swaroop Nagar Police Station.

These recoveries helped police crack at least 10 e-FIRs registered between January 2024 and May 2025 from areas like Swaroop Nagar, Narela, Burari, Model Town, and Gannaur (Sonipat, Haryana).
Pankaj (24) – a known “Bad Character” from Swaroop Nagar Extension, with eight prior cases
Taslim (22) – a repeat offender from Rajiv Nagar, Bhalswa Dairy, with two prior cases
Acting on a tip-off from a confidential source, police laid a trap near Bhalswa Lake in Mukundpur on the evening of May 20. At 6 PM, the duo were intercepted while riding a stolen Royal Enfield, confirmed to be linked to a May 12 e-FIR from Swaroop Nagar.
During interrogation, the accused revealed hideouts where more stolen bikes were kept. This led to raids across Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh, recovering nine more motorcycles.
According to DCP Outer North, Nidhin Valsan, the accused used simple tools to break handle locks and bypass ignition systems to steal motorcycles without keys. In some cases, they even attempted house break-ins post-theft, though not always successfully.
Delhi Police continue to pursue leads to identify other gang members and illegal buyers, as part of their broader crackdown on organized vehicle theft.
