TUSCUMBIA, Ala. — Two people from Tuscumbia were arrested Tuesday after investigators say they tried to sell stolen items through Facebook Marketplace.

According to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Pamela Faye Rich and 44-year-old Shane Duane Staggs are both facing two counts of theft of property.

Deputies say the arrests followed an investigation revealing that the pair was attempting to sell merchandise stolen from a storage unit in Lexington.

Investigators set up a plan to catch the suspects during the alleged transaction. When Rich and Staggs arrived at the storage unit, they were taken into custody without incident.

Authorities say the suspects also arrived in a stolen vehicle, and all stolen items were successfully recovered.

Both Rich and Staggs are being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on $60,000 bond each. The sheriff’s office says additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
