PALMDALE, CA (DrydenWire) — A 10-time convicted felon, Damian Michael Evans, 46, of the Antelope Valley, has been arrested in connection with a deadly fentanyl overdose incident that claimed the lives of four individuals in Palmdale earlier this year.

The Department of Justice announced the arrest on Friday, revealing that Evans was charged with a 10-count federal grand jury indictment. According to the indictment, Evans is accused of distributing fentanyl to a Palmdale residence on January 15, 2024, where the drug led to the fatal overdoses of four people.

Although specific details regarding the victims remain limited, the indictment alleges that Evans knowingly and intentionally dealt the deadly substance, ultimately causing the tragic deaths. Authorities have yet to confirm whether Evans had any prior relationship with the victims.

Evans’ extensive criminal history dates back to 1997 and includes 10 felony convictions, nine of which are drug-related, with most concerning drug dealing. His arrest on Thursday marks the latest chapter in his long criminal record.

In addition to the fentanyl distribution charge, Evans faces several other charges, including:

One count of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death

Two counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine

Two counts of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl

Two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine

One count of possession with intent to distribute MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine)

One count of possessing a firearm and ammunition in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime

One count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition

If convicted on all charges, Evans faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in federal prison, with the possibility of life imprisonment.
