Palghar Police Arrest Samsad Ali with Brown Sugar Worth Rs17.4 Lakh

Auto-Rickshaw Driver Nabbed in Major Narcotics Bust in Nalasopara

Palghar, Maharashtra: Police have arrested a 24-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Samsad Jamshed Ali, following a significant narcotics seizure in Palghar district. The arrest took place after officials recovered a total of 84.04 grams of brown sugar, valued at approximately Rs17.4 lakh.

The accused was spotted loitering near Capital Mall, on the east side of Nalasopara Railway Station on Tuesday. During the search, police recovered 56.04 grams of brown sugar from him. A subsequent search of Ali’s residence yielded an additional 28 grams of the illegal substance.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are ongoing.
