The Narayanguda Police in Hyderabad have arrested Palash Paul, a notorious conman from West Bengal, involved in a Rs91 lakh cheating case. He was also a wanted absconder in a murder trial, making him a high-risk fugitive.

According to police sources, Palash Paul posed as an interior and exterior designer, claiming to specialize in the supply of premium teak wood for construction projects. Over time, he allegedly cheated several individuals and companies across Hyderabad by taking large advance payments and then disappearing.

The fraud amount totals nearly Rs91 lakh, accumulated over multiple transactions with different victims. While he maintained the appearance of a professional, further investigation revealed that Paul had been on the run from a murder case as well.

His arrest comes as a result of targeted surveillance and inter-agency coordination. Police are now investigating his connections in both West Bengal and Telangana, suspecting he may be linked to larger criminal networks operating under similar guises.

Paul is now in judicial custody, and authorities are preparing to reopen his pending murder trial, alongside new charges under sections related to cheating, impersonation, and financial fraud.
